With 10th generation, Core i5 and SSD storage, Aspire 5 A514-53-59 is a good choice for Home Office

Acer has expanded its notebook portfolio in Brazil with models that have a very interesting and cost-effective datasheet, such as the Aspire 5 A514-53-59which, among other highlights, is equipped with a 10th generation Intel i5 processor and SSD storage, making it a good choice for routine work, including at Home Office. We took a closer look at the model of the Acer and our impressions you can check now.

Performance

With Windows 10, 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor, being a 10-nanometer chip, the Acer Aspire 5 A514-53-59 takes the breath away from the needs of everyday use. The notebook performs very well in document writing, internet browsing, spreadsheets and even some more robust programs for editing, as the 10th generation i5 present in the notebook clocks up to 3.6 GHz.

They complete the good hardware of the 8 GB RAM memory model in the DDR4 standard, which supports a greater amount of transfers, and 256 GB SSD storage, with a much faster writing and reading speed of files than on HDs. As a parameter, while the SSD is capable of booting the notebook in about 14 seconds, the conventional HD can take an average of 90 seconds for the same task.

If you need more internal space, the machine is ready for upgrades with a SATA 3 connection slot, which can be used for HDDs up to 2 TB.

Design

The design of Acer’s new Aspire 5 has also been improved and now features a brushed aluminium cover and a thinner body near the touchpad, allowing for a more compact structure without giving up inputs and connections. Speaking of which, the Aspire 5 is quite complete in this aspect with a USB-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0 port. In addition, it is a notebook that favours portability with only 1.5 kg and 17 millimetres thick when closed.

Screen with optimized contrast

Another factor that reinforces the Aspire 5’s more compact design is its 14-inch HD screen. The display also features ComfyView™ technology that optimizes contrast capacity and colour curves, being a good quality display to watch your favourite movies and series or edit photos and videos with more colour fidelity.

Battery with good autonomy

The battery life of the Aspire 5 also leaves nothing to be desired, being able to provide up to 10.5 hours of use thanks to the battery that is composed of 3 cells totalling 3,220 mAh in a 45W dual voltage source.
