The operating system macOS Apple recently updated to include a Problem with USB-C-Docks to fix. Noisy ZDNet failed the problem means that certain MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models could be damaged during use.
Apple said that “macOS Big Sur 11.2.2 prevents MacBook Pro (2019 or later) and MacBook Air (2020 or later) models from being damaged when attached to certain non-compliant third-party USB-C hubs and docks connected are.”
When this topic came up, the first assumption and speculation among the first Mac owners were the following: The M1-Chip is guilty.
