AMD introduced the Ryzen 7000 processors
AMD has premiered its new generation of processors, which are expected with great interest in the industry. Representatives of the Ryzen 7000 series are distinguished by important improvements, including higher performance. This is possible thanks to the Zen 4 architecture, which is used for the first time in the AMD Ryzen 7000.
The company promises that the weakest processor of the new series is more powerful than the best Alder Lake chip from Intel’s 12th generation. This is a curious comparison, of which we will soon receive real confirmation. AMD will sell the high-end 7950X processor at a price of $700, which is $100 less than the Ryzen 5950X that was introduced in 2020.
The new chips are manufactured with TSMC’s 5-nanometer technology, which guarantees a 30% higher operating frequency and a 13% increase in instruction-per-clock (IPC). In fact, these are the first AMD processors that will be optimized for AM5 motherboards, reports PCWorld.

Users need to invest in hardware that supports them to take advantage of the improvements in the Ryzen 7000. The most attractive offering in the range is the Ryzen 9 7950X – a 16-core processor with 32 Threads and an operating frequency of 4.5GHz. Other specifications include 80MB Cache memory and 170W power consumption.
The next model is the Ryzen 9 7900X, which has 12 cores, 76MB Cache and can be overclocked to 5.6GHz. The company also introduced the octa-core Ryzen 7 7700X, which consumes 105W of energy and runs at 5.4GHz.
